How Many More Do We Have to Bury?

Poem in Memory of Hama

In memory of those who died during the Hama Massacre..

Hama Massacres: Father to Son

On February 2, 1982, Hafez Assad (father) called on his security forces to shell the town of Hama for 27 consecutive days. Once the smoke cleared, he had laid a city into rubble and killed 40,000 people in the process. The world looked the other way and allowed him to rule an entire nation in fear…

From 2011-2012, 30 years after the world decided to look the other way on his father’s atrocities, Basher Assad (son) has killed 8,000 people and counting. In this age of justice and reason, will the world continue to look the other way? or will they stand up and act before another 40,000 are slaughtered?
